Eastern La Revolution France Tour Post OneThe Vibrations Urbaines contest is finished and the Eastern Crew did good. |
We've been in Pessac, France for three days. Jet lag has set in but the crew is pushing though. It's been an amazing time here so far and everyone has been pumped. Here are a few photos from our time at the contest and more. The contest was super fun. Josh decided to enter dirt on a whim and ended up with 3rd and also got 8th in Park. Yeah Josh! Karl got 5th in park with some super original lines. It was good to see someone use the course the way he did. It's raining now so we will probably head south working our way to Barcelona to get some riding in, footy clocked and photos taken. Enjoy the photos and stay tuned for more updates on the trip and keep a look out for a blog or two from Karl as well.

The first local we met was Frank who picked us up in this van. Lack of sleep can make the guys a bit loopy.

Frank also brought us to one of his local spots. I figured it would be a good shot for the home page. Plus it was so fun to ride.

Karl and François getting the shots.

I will be filming most of the trip so I had to get some riding in before clocking in.

Eric Holley and a pretty boy curb endo.

Josh Perry doing a no-hander over the first set on his second time through. Not a bad warm up.

The last time I was in France was almost 10 years ago and I met Patrick Guimez so it was good to see him here ripping.
Plus he was on a Journey frame and won the contest. Yup.

Josh Perry doesn't ride dirt very often but you wouldn't be able to tell
with the way he was riding the contest. Whip drop to 3rd.

Sometimes I make Karl so mad...haha.

They really know how to fill the space in the hotel rooms. I like it though.

There was a crazy party Saturday night and they let us show The Death of Fun there. The guy on the left did an awesome
beat box set after the video. (Karl's Iphone photo)

Eric Holley, Josh Perry, Karl Poynter at the contest on Sunday.

Here's an over view of the park contest. There was definitley a lot of unique things to ride and the over all vibe was awesome.

This is Greg Mason. He rides for Eastern in France and can crank lookbacks.

I'm pretty sure Karl is the only one to do anything on this. Fakie in tight quarters. Get it?

I swear Greg Mason is not afraid of anything. No-handed fakie at height.

This is just part of an amazing line Karl did in his run.

Our French distributor, Sunex gave away a 2010 Dragon complete to this stoked amateur winner.

Karls bike but Greg's barhop. He's an awesome and funny guy.

Josh checking in.
